We are here to bring Southampton’s medical students together and make sure everyone feels supported throughout their time at medical school. With more than 1,400 members, we’re a big society, but we endeavour to make sure everyone feels represented. Whether it’s helping you settle in during your first year, giving you opportunities to relax and have fun, or making sure your voice is heard by the University and SUSU, we’re here to help!

Life as a medic can be intense, so we do our best to balance the hard work with plenty of ways to unwind. From lively events and annual balls to relaxed get-togethers, there’s always something going on to help you connect with students in all years. On top of that, MedSoc is home to a whole range of sub-societies covering sport, hobbies, and niche interests, so you can take a break from studying and dive into something you enjoy.

On top of supporting students, every year, we pick one local and one international charity to support. By raising money through our events and activities, we work together with medical students to give back to our community both in Southampton and beyond.
